Agnes M. Hooper

Agnes M. Hooper, age 94, of Deckerville died November 5, 2020 in Cranberry Park Assisted Living, Milford, MI. She was born March 10, 1926 in Bridgehampton Township the daughter of the late Roy and Sarah (Hardy) Sweet. She grew up in Carsonville and attended Carsonville High School and graduated Valedictorian of her class. On May 21, 1945 she married Gordon Hooper at the house of Roy and Sarah Sweet in Carsonville. He preceded her in death November 11, 2009. Agnes was a lifelong area farmer with her husband. She also worked at Yale Rubber, the pickle plant and put eyelets on fishing poles to earn money for kids and Christmas. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, needlework, cooking, gardening, and wintering in Florida. She is survived by one daughter Sharon Hooper; grandchildren Bob (Cindy) Bartholomew, Michelle Muir, Kim (Doug) Neumayer, Bobbie Jo (Charlie) Roe and Scott (April) Hooper; great grandchildren Paige and Hunter Bartholomew, Josh and Jordan Muir, Doug and Derek Neumayer; great great grandchildren Jack and Vivienne Neumayer. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, her husband, one daughter Janet Pohl and one son Bob Hooper. Graveside services to honor the life of Agnes M. Hooper will be 3:00 PM Saturday November 7, 2020 in the Downing Cemetery. Pastor Dave Frost and Mr. Hayden Stone will officiate.
