Allen Mater

Allen T. Mater, age 57, of Deckerville, died Saturday December 29, 2012 in his home. He was born January 26, 1955 in Sandusky the son of Hubert and Doretha (Irving) Mater. He married Miss. Becky Terpenning on June 25, 1977 in Deckerville. Allen was a member of the Deckerville Bible Church. He owned and operated Mater's Mechanical Repair. He enjoyed building canoes and cross stitching pictures. He is survived by his wife Becky of Deckerville, one son Andrew (Tabitha) Mater of Fla., one daughter Miss. Ashley Mater of Deckerville, his mother Mrs. Doretha Mater of Deckerville, two brothers, Larry (Janet) Mater of OK., and Timothy (Janice) Mater of Deckerville, one sister Mrs. Lois (Wayne )Pritchard of Deckerville, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Hubert Mater on February 4, 1998. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Allen T. Mater will be 11:00 AM., Thursday in the Deckerville Bible Church. Rev's Arnold Bracy and Jeff Homan will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-9 PM., on Wednesday in the Apsey Funeral Home, and 10:00 AM., until the time of service in the Deckerville Bible Church. Memorials may be given to the Family Discretionary Fund.
