Barbara Kunze

Barbara L. Kunze, age 72, of Deckerville, died Saturday April 30, 2011 in Port Huron Hospital. She was born April 17, 1939 in Deckerville, the daughter of the late Leigh and Goldie (Walker) Kerbyson. She married Donald Kunze on June 15, 1957 in Palms. Barbara loved to hunt any kind of wild game in season, and out, if the varmint was helping itself to her garden, and she also enjoyed quilting. She owned and operated Bardon?s Clothing Store in Deckerville after retiring from Clements Manufacturing, and the family farm. She is survived by her husband, Donald of Deckerville, two daughters, Roxane (Charles) Kunze-Hawkins of Kalkaska, Jody (Brad) Trowhill of Deckerville, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Beverly (Wayne) Kula, and Mrs. Bonnie Hoenicke both of Kalkaska, several nieces and nephews, one uncle Blaine (Lou) Kerbyson and one aunt Mrs. Halcyon Walker. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Barbara L. Kunze will be 1:00 PM., Wednesday in the Apsey Funeral Home, Pastor Paul Slivka will officiate. Burial will be in the Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9:00 PM., Monday and 2-9:00 PM., Tuesday. Memorials may be given to the Goodtimers or St. Jude?s. Condolences may be sent to apseyfuneralhome.net
