Beatrice M. Hunt

Beatrice M. Hunt, age 86, of Palms, passed away Friday April 5, 2013 in Shannondale of Maryville Assisted Living Center, Maryville, TN. She was born August 28, 1926 in Minden City, the daughter of the late Barney and Martha (Guigar) Roberts. She married J. Richard Hunt on October 29, 1949 in Palms, MI., he preceded in death on November 21, 2012. Beatrice was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Palms, and a member of the League of Catholic Women, and the Deckerville Community Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, Golf, ceramics, crocheting, and dancing. Mrs. Hunt is survived by three sons, Larry (Carol) Hunt of Vonore, TN., John (Becky) Hunt of Loudon, Tn., Michael (Renee) Hunt of Zionsville, IN., two daughters, Cindy (Larry) Havard of Alto, MI., and Linda Hunt of Seattle, WA., nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Stocker of Marysville, and Mrs. Frances (Donald) Swartzendruber of Saginaw. Beatrice was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Stella Halifax, and Mrs. Edna Peters, and four brothers, John Roberts, Clarence Roberts, Bernard Roberts, and Elmer Roberts. A funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Beatrice M. Hunt will be held at 11:00 AM., Monday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Palms, Fr. Peter Nwokoye will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM., Sunday in the Apsey Funeral Home, with a prayer vigil at 7:00 PM., and from 10:00 AM., until the time of the service at church on Monday. Memorial may be given to the American Heart Association or Deckerville Community Hospital Auxiliary.
