Berniece Waun

Bernice Waun, age 87, of Dekerville, died October 1, 2010 in the home of her son. She was born December 22, 1922 in Carsonville the daughter of John and Laura (Wright) DeLong. She married Clifford Waun on April 23, 1947 in Deckerville. He preceded in death on September 13, 2001. She was a member of the Deckerville Bible Church. Served as the Marion Township Clerk for many years, and was a clerk in the former Forrester Department Store. She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Jeryl (Diana) Waun of South Branch, Gary (Denise) Waun of Harbor Beach, four grandsons, Aaron (Amanda) Waun, and Joel (Bethany) Waun all of Lapeer, Joshua and Jacob Waun of Harbor Beach, Two granddaughters Darcey Waun of Rochester Hills, Lauren Waun of Harbor Beach and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers Lyle DeLong and Gorden DeLong, and three sisters Myrtle Burgess, Marion McVittie and Evelyn Arnold. Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Bernice Waun will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Homan will officiate. Burial will be in the Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 ? 9:00 PM Saturday, and noon until the time of service on Sunday. Memorials may be given to the Deckerville Bible Church or the United Hospice.
