Beth Anne Van Norman Gwinn

Beth Anne Van Norman Gwinn, age 79, of Sweetwater, TN, formerly of Deckerville, passed away Tuesday February 11, 2020 in Park West Medical Center, Knoxville. She was born February 9, 1941 in Deckerville, the daughter of the late Donald and Retha (McGregor) Van Norman. She grew up in the Downington/Deckerville area, graduating from High School with the class of 1958. After high school she attended the Flint School of Nursing. She married Elmore Gwinn in Fostoria. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1999. Beth Anne worked at the Deckerville Community Hospital, Marlette Regional and Lapeer Regional Hospitals. She also traveled to California and worked there for several years, as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and traveling. She was a member of the New Bethany Baptist Church in Sweetwater, TN. She is survived by two brothers, Larry (Judy) Van Norman and Jerry (Carol) Van Norman, both of Deckerville; and several nieces and nephews; and special son Daniel Baker of TN. A memorial service to honor the life of Beth Anne Van Norman Gwinn will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday February 20, 2020 in the McGregor United Methodist Church. Rev. Jerry Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in Rich Township Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Memorials may be given to New Bethany Baptist Church.
