Bruce Jones

Bruce E. Jones Sr, 83, Husband of Margaret, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and WWII veteran, passed away March 29 2011. Bruce loved to dance and sing, travel, and spend time with family and friends. He was well known for his wit, wisdom, and hugs, as well as sharing his talent by singing in St Patrick?s Choir, and many other venues. Bruce was a frequent contributor to local hymn sings and senior meal site luncheons. He was a gifted orator and square dance caller, fine woodworker, and spirited card player. Bruce was a man of great faith and a friend to all. Bruce is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret, children Bruce Jr. (Ellen), Susan (Jacques) Paquette, Kathleen Blattner, Pamela Jones (Bill Mclntyre), Maureen (Dennis) Higgins, Robert (Andrea), Richard (Lia), and Margo (Robert) Rayer, as well as 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and dearest cousins Margaret Evans and Jack Willis. Funeral mass to celebrate the life of Bruce E. Jones Sr. will be 11 am Saturday April 2, 2011 in St Joseph Catholic Church, Sandusky, Fr. Charles Hammond will officiate. Burial in Downing Cemetery. Visitation 2 pm ? 9 pm Friday April 1st in the Apsey Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to St Joseph Catholic Church, the Smile Train, or Deckerville Community Hospital Auxiliary.
