Calvin J. Moore

Calvin J. Moore, age 91, of Deckerville, died Monday June 9, 2014 in Convenant Health Care, Saginaw. He was born December 24, 1922 in Deckerville, the son of the late Charles and Grace (Hartshorn) Moore. Calvin was a 1940 graduate of Deckerville Community School. He worked as a commercial truck driver for over 25 years. After his retirement, he established residence on the family farm and became a volunteer for Human Development, delivering meals to homes. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gween Johnson of Deckerville, and Mrs. Nira (Maurice) Adair of Snover, a nephew Larry (Mary) Johnson and two nieces, Mary Jane Johnson and Shelly Adair, along with several great nieces and nephews. At his request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements were by the Apsey Funeral Home. Memorials donations may be given to the Parkinson's Foundation or Stonegate of Sandusky in Calvin's memory. Condolences may be sent on line to apseyfuneralhome.net
