Charles Burton Atchison

Charles Burton Atchison, 93, residing in Zephyrhills Florida passed away on January 2,

2024.

Charlie was born and raised by Thomas and Clara (Park) Atchison on a dairy

farm in Barton, New York.

As a young man Charlie proudly served his Country in Korea

and returned home to raise his own family. He drove a school bus for Tioga Central

School for a number of years. Charlie began with a route and moved up to the Handicap

bus. He was greatly admired by the children on his bus and his fellow workers on third

shift at Ingersoll Rand plant in Athens, Pennsylvania. Charlie is also a lifelong farmer. In

his spare time Charlie enjoyed fishing, horses, and all-around country life. In his later

years with his love Sharon, you found him in Michigan telling stories of their adventures

while traveling.

Charlie will be greatly missed by his wife Sharon, daughter Vicki Williams of Nicols, New York, son Chuck (Kim) Atchison of Lockwood, New York, step-daughter Lois Morell (Jim Innes) of Deckerville, Michigan, step-sons Rodney Morell of Caseville, Michigan, Brian Morell of Sturgis, Michigan, Eric Morell of Greensboro, North Carolina, Paul (Shannon) Morell of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Brothers in law William Jackson of Murfreesboro Tennessee, Dale (Geraldine) Pearson of Port Sanilac,

Michigan, Daniel (Patrica) Pearson of Port Huron, Michigan, and William (Tammy)

Pearson of Deckerville, Michigan, numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great

grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families and friends.

Charlie was greeted in Heaven by his parents Thomas and Clara, grandsons Levi Atchison and Joey Williams, stepdaughter Wendy Morell, sisters Carol Schmitt, Dorthy Jackson, Helen Frank, and

brother Thomas (Irene) Atchison.

His final resting place will be in Downing Cemetery, Deckerville, Michigan and his spirit and memories will live on through us in love.

A graveside service will be held at Downing Cemetery on Thursday July 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
