Constance Sue "Connie" Marshall, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2024, in Lexington. Born on August 9, 1962, in Cass City, Connie's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the joy of everyday moments.

Connie was the loving daughter of the late Robert Rich and Sherryl Pelton Rich. Her early life in Deckerville laid the foundation for a life full of warmth and devotion. Connie graduated from Deckerville Community School with the class of 1980, where she formed many of the friendships that she would cherish throughout her life.

She found her soulmate in Robert Marshall, and together they built a life centered on mutual respect, unwavering support, and an abundance of laughter. Connie embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and enthusiasm, creating a welcoming home where everyone felt loved and valued. Connie is survived by her husband Robert; her children, Trisha Dials (Joe Herrington Jr.), Tiffany Dials (Mike Cadreau), and John Dials. She was a beacon of light in her family, guiding them with her wisdom and showering them with love. Her mother, Sherryl Rich, and her siblings, Jeff (Anita) Rich, Kevin (Latisha) Rich, and Brenda Warczinsky, will remember Connie for her unshakeable strength and her ability to listen with an open heart.

Her role as grandmother to her grandchildren, Joey Herrington III, Alexis Defer (Sebastian), Dylan Herrington, Devon Herrington, Aubrey Dials, Darren Doane, and Jaxon Doane, brought her immeasurable joy. Connie was also a doting "Gigi" to Brooklyn Defer, Kalli Defer, and Kinslei Herrington, who will miss her playful spirit and comforting embrace.

Connie's legacy is also marked by the memory of her beloved son, James Dials, who preceded her in death on January 19, 2007, and her father, Robert Rich, who passed away on January 15, 2017. Their memories will continue to live on through the stories she shared and the deep influence they had on her life.

Connie's interests were a reflection of her love for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, always with a smile that could light up the room. Whether it was a quiet afternoon with her husband, a lively family gathering, or a tender moment with her grandchildren, Connie's presence was a source of comfort and happiness for all who knew her.

As a homemaker, Connie was the gentle hand that turned the mundane into magic. Her home was not only a shelter but a sanctuary where memories were made, and traditions were born. She had a unique way of making each family member feel special, understood, and most importantly, loved unconditionally.

Connie's passing leaves a void in the lives of those she touched, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family. Her lessons of kindness, her laughter, and her unconditional love are the precious gifts she has left behind. As we say goodbye to Connie, we also celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the extraordinary life she led.

In honoring Connie's memory, we are reminded to cherish the time we have with our loved ones and to approach each day with the same warmth and generosity that she exemplified. Constance Sue "Connie" Marshall will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
