Dale J. Kenny

Dale J. Kenny, age 66, of Almont, died unexpectedly on Sunday September 12, 2021, in his home. He was born July 24, 1955, in Deckerville, the son of the late Donald and Betty (Bracken) Kenny. He grew up in Deckerville and attended Deckerville Community School, graduating in 1973. He then went to work for the Ford Motor Company and retired from there after 30 years. He was also a Real Estate agent. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, travel and tinkering with various things. He was also a parttime bowler and a member of the United Auto Workers. He is survived by two sons, James Kenny of Baraga, and Jeremy (Sofia) Kenny of Almont; three grandchildren Kaylee, Breena, and Porter and Harvey his beloved dog; one brother Larry Kenny and sister Cheryl Kenny both of Deckerville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James, and Gary and one sister Gayle. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Dale J. Kenny will be 1:00 PM Thursday September 16, 2021, in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 AM-1:00 PM., Thursday. Memorials may be given to the family discretionary fund.
