Dale Richard Lowe, a lifelong resident of Argyle Township, passed away on October 10, 2026 at the age of 92. Dale was born on September 1, 1934, to James and Norma (McAllister) Lowe. A farmer through and through, he spent most of his life dairy farming and working the land he called home. He had a lifelong love of John Deere tractors and an appreciation for a good piece of farm equipment. When he wasn’t working, Dale enjoyed local auctions, collecting “antiques” for his garage, and keeping his daughters well supplied with Ball canning jars. He was a regular at the Thumb Octagon Barn for its annual fish fry and bean soup, and he knew everyone at the Argyle Party Store by name. He enjoyed hunting, cutting firewood, and making homemade ice cream. His family, friends, and the community he called home for more than 90 years will miss him greatly. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, James and Norma Lowe; his siblings, Orwood, Keith, Gerald, Dean, Elaine Hillaker, Georgine Brown, and Robert; and his sons-in-law, David Lewis and Bill Dempsey. He is survived by his four daughters, Connie Dempsey, Marilyn Bulgrien (Robert), Jane Lewis, and Marg Rusell (Jim), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Linda Helwig.
Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside will take place at a later date.
