Danny Robert Schuman

Danny Robert Schuman, 75, of New Baltimore, passed away after a long bought with cancer on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Henry Ford Hospital Macomb. Danny was born March 5, 1951 to the late Donald and Betty Schuman. Loving father of Patricia (Dan) Monaghan and David (Tracy) Schuman; adored grandfather of Gage, Liberty and Ashton Schuman, Elena Monaghan, Sierra (Joe) and Jerzey Walters; great grandfather of Raelynn, Sebastian and Tatum Major. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Cynthia Schuman. Danny proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Danny loved driving around in his 1978 Corvette and spending time at his property in Brown City. He had big plans to travel the country in his motorhome before the cancer diagnosis. Danny’s favorite thing was to hear his grandchildren call him “Papa”.

Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at the Peshek Family Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St., Richmond, MI 48062.
