David Frederick Roskey

David Frederick Roskey died unexpectedly on Sunday December 28, 2025 at the age of 67. He was born on December 2, 1958 in Port Huron to David and Geraldine Roskey. In 1967 his parents moved their family to Deckerville to open Melody Lanes Bowling Alley. David graduated from Deckerville High School in 1977. He married Marsha Jones Roskey that same year. He worked with his father at the bowling alley until he took it over in 1989. In addition to running the bowling alley and being an avid bowler, David was also a volunteer firefighter on the Deckerville Fire Department for 40 years until his retirement in 2019. David was described by all who knew him as a kind and caring person. He would enjoy having a conversation with you whether he'd known you for 5 minutes or 50 years. David is survived by his wife Marsha, his children Andrea (Jason) Smith, Nathan (Kristy) Roskey, his grandchildren Kyla and Kaden (Mikayla) Smith, Ella, Myla and Reed Roskey, his mother Geraldine, siblings Melody (Sid) Hamill and Danny (Shelly) Roskey and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Roskey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 12:00pm-5:00pm at Peshek Family Funeral Home-Apsey Chapel, 3467 Main St., Deckerville, MI 48427.
