David William Gierke, 83, of Richmond MI, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2022 on his own terms to complications of ALS. David born July 17, 1938 Minneapolis MN, to the late William and Volberg Gierke. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Eileen Scholpp Gierke, children; Stacey (Kraig) Kasper, Michelle Martin, Scott (Pamela) Cain and Karen (Alex) Bryce; grandchildren, Ashley (Joselyn) Kasper, Brooklyn Martin, Amber (Kyle) Scotti, Nicole Bryce, Colin Cain, Rebecca Bryce and Margaret “Maisie” Cain and his siblings, Patricia (Kreg) Lombard and Wayne (Cheli) Gierke. David proudly served his country as a soldier in the United States Army.
