Dennis Patrick Bolen

Dennis Patrick Bolen, 82, of Richmond, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 at McLaren Macomb Hospital. Dennis was born June 18, 1943 to the late Melvin and Marcelline Bolen. Beloved husband of Shirley Bolen; caring father of Kathleen Bolen-White and Jeffrey (Kelly) Bolen; cherished grandfather of Zachary, Matthew, Calahan and Russell. Also, survived by his brother, James (Linda) Bolen. He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Bolen. Dennis was his grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader no matter what they were doing and great proponent of community service. He was a member of the Richmond Lions Club for 54 years, a Melvin Jones Award recipient and helped start the scholarship program for the Richmond Lions Club. He enjoyed buying, selling and collecting antiques, woodworking, traveling, working in his yard and was a huge MSU fan.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St., Richmond, MI 48062.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Richmond Lion’s Club, Richmond/Lenox EMS or St. Augustine Catholic Church.
