Dennis Lee Force of Richmond passed away August 4th, 2026, at the age of 78. Dennis passed peacefully in his sleep, ending his enduring battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Dennis was born on May 27th, 1948. He was the first-born son of James and Marion Force of Ferndale, Michigan. James and Marion had a second son and beloved brother to Dennis, Gary Force. Gary passed away on December 1st, 2012, leaving behind his wife Arnita and their only son Vincent. Much of his childhood Dennis was a member of the Boy Scouts along with his brother Gary and father James as Scout Leader. His involvement with the Scouts gave him a love for nature and the outdoors that he carried with him throughout his life. Dennis went on to graduate from Ferndale High School in 1966 where he was a member of the swim team. He also found his love for art and photography which stuck with him through the years. After High School he joined the United States Air Force where he was Honorably Discharged after his duties. Dennis learned he had an interest in mechanical repair while in the Service. Dennis took that interest and went on to attend Wayne State University studying Diesel Mechanics and Art. He took numerous jobs in mechanical repair and automotive centered businesses. Dennis later retired from Ford Motor Company Romeo Engine Plant as a Machine Repairman. In addition to having a green thumb, Dennis was well read and never wanted to stop learning. Having a wonderful way with words made him a great writer. Singing in the church choir for much of his childhood contributed to his appreciation of classical, opera, country, and rock music all the same. Always full of patriotism for his country, Dennis supported the military and its troops. He made donations to the VFW, Tunnel for Towers, and was a volunteer for Operation Care Package. He also participated in the 911 Memorial Ride to New York every year he could. His motorcycle was a substantial part of his life, riding many miles rain or shine. Those that knew him know that he was not a fair-weather biker. A single tattoo on his arm that read Patty was a constant reminder that out of all the things Dennis loved, he loved Patty the very most. Patty passed away on February 9th, 2025. Dennis and Patty were supportive, loving parents to two daughters and a son. Lisa Curley (Deceased), Michele Anulli (Deceased), and Matthew Force. Their love extended to son-in-law Mike Anulli, daughter-in-law Tamara Force, and grandchildren Alex, Nicholas, Bryn, Brooklyn, and Colton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
