Dennis Neil Haag

Dennis Neil Haag, 71, of Lenox, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2026. Dennis was born June 10, 1955 to the late Herman and Elinor Haag in Bad Axe, Michigan. Beloved husband of Judith Haag; cherished father of Ryan (Rachel) Haag, Christopher (Jessica) Haag and Anna (Justin) Peterson; caring grandfather of Cecilia, Neil, Rosalynn, Felix, Finley, Audrey and Evelyn; brother of Curtis Haag, Carol Haag and Linda LaForest; beloved by his in laws David Vogel, Joan Vogel, Donna Fox, Deborah (Charles) Novak, Gerard (Linda) Vogel, Francis (Sandy) Vogel, Phillip (Amy) Vogel, Barbara (Bob) Vandaveer, Bernard (Anna) Vogel, Marilyn (Greg) Gray, Matthew (Kim) Vogel, Marie (Don) Johnson, Denise Vogel, and Jane (Mike) Ehlermann; preceded in death by his mother and father in law Jerome (Janice) Vogel, his granddaughter Rebecca, and his relatives Pam Vogel, Bernie Bremher, and Tom Fox. Dennis proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Marine Corps predominantly in the Pacific theater. After his military service, he continued to serve his country as a program manager who developed and outfitted armored vehicles for servicemembers in theater. At home, he was an outdoorsman that loved working with his hands and spending time with his family. He enjoyed many activities such as SCUBA diving, hunting, fishing, shooting, splitting wood, tending to his chickens and tinkering with “the jeep project”.

Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at the Peshek Family Funeral Home, 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Monday, October 5, 2026 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St., Richmond, MI 48062. His burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442.
