Diana Lee Warczinski, lovingly known as Diana to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024, in Autumnwood of Deckerville. Born on March 18, 1945, in Owasso, Michigan, Diana's life was one rich with love, work, and dedication to her family and community. She was 79 years old. Diana was the cherished wife of the late Robert J. Warczinski, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage beginning on September 19, 1964, until his passing on October 4, 2009. Together, they built a life filled with joy and hard work on their family farm. Diana was predeceased by her father Ray Shanks, her mother Lela (Thomas) Shanks, her daughter Tammy Newberry, and her sister Kathy Stifane. She leaves behind a legacy through her two sons, John (Melissa) Warczinski and Pete (Tiffany) Warczinski, both of Deckerville, her loving grandchildren, Austin, Hailey, Keith, Kurt, Katie, Kelsey, Kyle, Chance, and Jessica, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Mattias, Isabel, Mila, Meaji, Lillie, Paisley, Korbin, and Ellie. Diana is also survived by her half-sister Connie Isaac of Yale, her son-in-law Dan Newberry, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly. Raised in Forester Township, Diana was a proud graduate of Deckerville Community School, Class of 1964. Her education laid the foundation for a life of entrepreneurship and service. Diana was the heart and soul of the Blue Water Riding Stable, which she owned and operated with passion and pride. She was also known in her community for her dedication to delivering water to lakeshore residents with crock wells, often seen driving her trusty truck along the familiar routes. Diana's work on the farm was not just a job; it was a way of life that she embraced wholeheartedly. Her hands-on approach and unwavering commitment to the land and animals were a testament to her character—resilient, nurturing, and always willing to put in a hard day's work. Despite her busy life, Diana found solace and joy in the simple pleasures. She was an avid fisherwoman, relishing the times she could cast her line into the waters of Lake Huron and wait for the gentle tug of a fish. These moments of tranquility amidst nature were a source of great happiness and reflection for her. Diana's life was a portrait of the values she held dear—family, hard work, and community. Her presence was a comforting constant in the lives of those she touched, and her influence will be felt for generations to come. She was a woman of substance, her actions always speaking louder than her words, and her legacy will be carried forward in the hearts and memories of her beloved family and friends. As we bid farewell to Diana Lee Warczinski, we celebrate the life she lived so fully and the love she gave so freely. She was a beacon of strength and kindness, and though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Diana's journey through life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In remembrance of Diana, we reflect on the many lives she touched and the indelible mark she left on her community. Her story is one of perseverance, love, and the enduring bonds of family.
