Doris Twiss

Doris A. Twiss, age 85, of Deckerville, died Wednesday August 4, 2010 in Medi-Lodge of Yale where she was lovingly cared for. She was born October 19, 1924 in Deckerville, the daughter of the late Harold and Mabel(Decker) Pattullo. She married Donald Twiss on June 6, 1942 in Deckerville. He preceded her in death June 6, 1983. She was a member of the Deckerville Hospital Auxiliary, Autumnwood Auxiliary, a volunteer at Deckerville Project Blessing, and enjoyed music, gardening, and crocheting. She is survived by three sons Walter (Mary) A.) Twiss of Port Huron, Thomas (Mary C.) Twiss of Carsonville, Arthur of TX, two daughters, Mrs. Janet Brinker of Fla., and Mary Alice (Ed) Mathews of Jeddo, eight grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, three brothers, Harleigh (Janet) Pattullo , Robert (Susan) Pattullo both of Deckerville, Roger (Mary) Pattullo of Fla., two sisters Miss Marion Pattullo of Deckerville and Mrs. Sharon (Murray) Metcalf of Ohio, two sisters-in-law, Geraldine (Dale) Pearson of Pt. Sanilac, and Mrs. Evelyn McConnel of Fla., and one brother ?in-law Raymond (Grace) Twiss of Deckerville, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters Ms. Jean Twiss, and Mrs. Mayme Decker. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Doris A. Twiss will be 11:00 AM., Monday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Mr. William Metcalf and Mr. Barry Brinker will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM., Saturday, 2:00-6:00 PM. Sunday and from 10:00 AM., until the time of service on Monday. Memorials may be given to the Mills Gospel Hall or Deckerville Project Blessing. Condolences may be sent to apseyfuneralhome.net
