Dorothy I. Mcgregor

Dorothy I. McGregor, age 86, of Deckerville, passed away Friday May 8, 2015 in the Sanilac Medical Care Facility. She was born June 11, 1928 in Sandusky, the daughter of the late William and Alma (Weiker) Gough. Miss. Dorothy I. Gough married Robert McGregor on July 30, 1949, he preceded her in death September 11, 1986. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School. Worked at Deckerville Die Form for over twenty years, and worked as a telephone operator in Deckerville many years ago. She also helped her husband on the family farm in McGregor. She enjoyed being with her family, playing BINGO and working word puzzles. She was a member of the McGregor United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Maria) McGregor of FL., Raymond Grice of Deckerville, three daughters, Diane (Nick) VanderVeen of MO., Karen McGregor, and Marcia McGregor both of Deckerville, ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Sanford and Lois McGregor, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandson Michael McGregor. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Dorothy I. McGregor will be 11:00 AM., Monday in the McGregor United Methodist Church. Rev. Jerry Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-9:00 PM., Sunday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the McGregor United Methodist Church.
