Dorothy Gloria Pietras

Dorothy Gloria Pietras, 94 of Richmond, passed away peacefully at The Village of East Harbor on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Dorothy was born November 30, 1931 to the late John and Angela Babinski. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pietras. She is survived by her children; Claudia Pietras, Donna (Jim) Wells and Christopher (Deborah) Pietras; grandchildren, Amy (Dan) Orlando, Christopher (Mary) Pietras Jr., Claire (Brain) Paramo, Lucas (Mia) Wells and Veronica Wells; great grandchildren, Angelo and Vincezo Orlando, William and Ethan Pietras and Jenny Wells and siblings, Gloria (Richard) Iminski and Leonard Babinski. Also, preceded in death by her brother John Babinski. Originally from Hamtramck, Dorothy was a long-time resident of Richmond where her and husband Richard owned businesses such as the 7 Dwarf’s Mini Mall and also worked at the Emmett KOA for 17 years. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Augustine Catholic Church and member of the Altar Sodality. She was a hard-working woman that loved to cook and spend time with her family. She also enjoyed reading and sewing.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday, August 21, 2026 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St., Richmond, MI 48062.
