Elizabeth J. Hartman

Elizabeth J. Hartman, age 86, of Deckerville died Tuesday April 11, 2023, in the Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky. She was born November 16, 1936, in Port Huron, the daughter of the late William and Harriet (Cheney) Fleming. Elizabeth grew up in Port Huron and attended Port Huron High School, graduating in 1954. She worked at Prestolite and later for Clements Manufacturing in Deckerville for many years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, going to the casinos and being with her family. She was a member of the McGregor Methodist Church. Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Rich of Deckerville; three grandchildren Everett Smith of Harbor Beach, Misty (Tyson) Culver of Beaverton and Beth (Bobby) Levert of Deckerville; fourteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one grandson. Funeral services for Elizabeth J. Hartman will be 1:00 PM Friday April 14, 2023, in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Griggs will officiate. The visitation will be on Thursday 3:00-8:00 PM and Friday 11:00 AM until the time of services. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
