Ernest Klauss

Ernie Klauss, age 88, of Palms, died Monday March 9, 2009 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. He was born February 22, 1921 in Detroit, the son of the late Ernest W. and Vera (Pickles) Klauss. He married Grace Heacox, on January 15, 1942 in Roseville. She preceded in death on November 13, 2005. Ernie was a veteran of both WWII and Korea. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting and woodworking, and he loved his cats. He is survived by one step-daughter Mrs. Catherine Essenmacherof Warren, and one grandson, Wayne Smith of Sterling Heights. A private family gathering has taken place at the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Burial of the cremains will be in Forester Cemetery at a later date.
