Erva Christy

ERVA T. CHRISTY, age 97 of Carsonville, passed away, Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Autumnwood of Deckerville. She was born on December 4, 1910 in Carsonville, the daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Erbe) Smith. She married Daniel Christy in 1930 in Detroit, he preceded her in death. Mrs. Christy was very active for many years, she helped out as a 4H Leader, was active through the Sanilac County Extension, and was a member of Farm Bureau. She helped out on the family farm all her life and loved her family very much. She is survived by her children; Robert Christy of Applegate, Dale (Jeanette) Christy of Tucson, AZ, and a daughter Gerri (Jack) Williams of Salome, AZ. 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service for Erva Christy will be Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 11 am at the Apsey Funeral Home with Rev. Jedediah Willis, officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Township Cemetery. Visitation for Erva will be Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 4-8 pm in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? Funeral Home, and on Wednesday from 10 am until time of the services.
