F. Margaret Merriman

F. Margaret Merriman, age 97 of Deckerville, died Sunday April 7, 2013 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. She was born June 6, 1915 in Bridgehampton Township, the daughter of the late Frank and Effie (MacDonald) Sweet. She married Harleigh Merriman on April 1, 1939. He preceded in death March 26, 2008. Mrs. Merriman was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Deckerville, and taught for many years in the Deckerville area schools. Mrs. Merriman is survived by her son Robert of Traverse City, two grandchildren, Montay Merriman, and Wendy (Merriman) Sherwin, five great grandchildren, Alexander and Maximillion Merriman, and Ben, Sam and Jack Sherwin, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services to celebrate the life of F. Margaret Merriman will be 11:00 AM., Wednesday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Wolf will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.
