Forrest R. Hartsell

Forrest R. Hartsell, age 90, of Forester Township, died Wednesday April 16, 2014 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. He was born June 16, 1923 on the family farm the son of the late Manley and Hattie (Purcell ) Hartsell. He married Miss. Marian Hooper on November 10, 1945 in Deckerville. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2007. Forrest was a lifelong area farmer. He is survived by one son, Mark (Dawn) Hartsell of Deckerville, three daughters, Bonnie (Carl) Reisner of Deckerville, Barbara (Elgin) Hill of Oil Springs, ONT., and Marilyn (Lorne) Warczinsky of Minden City. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Mrs. Dorothy Decker on May 4, 2004. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Forrest R. Hartsell will be 11:00 AM., Tuesday April 22, 2014 in the Apsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forester Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 2:00-8:00 PM., and Tuesday 10:00 AM., until the time of service. Memorials may be sent to Hospice Advantage.
