Frances I. Simmons

Frances I. Simmons, age 89, of Deckerville, passed away Tuesday Sept 16, 2014 in the Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe. She was born September 28, 1924 in Deckerville, the daughter of the late John and Verna (Burgess) MacDonald. She married Charles M. Simmons on March 21, 1946 in Deckerville. He preceded her in death December 15, 1980. She then married Raymond E. Williamson on November 3, 1990. He preceded her in death January 3, 1993. Mrs. Simmons was a member of the Deckerville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with her two daughters and grandchildren, along with playing cards at the Deckerville Community Center. Frances is survived by two daughters, Verna (Walter) Murawski of Kinde, and Vicky (Joseph) Murawski of Port Austin, one sister Mrs. Betty Flood Amy of Indiana, six grandchildren, Stephanie Murawski, Matthew Murawski, Mark Murawski, Sara Murawski, Nicole Murawski and David Murawski, one sister-in-law Norma MacDonald of Florida. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald MacDonald, Dallas MacDonald, and Robert MacDonald. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Frances I. Simmons will be 11:00 AM., Saturday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 PM., Friday Burial will be in Downing Cemetery Memorials may be given to the Deckerville United Methodist Church or the Huron Medical Center.
