Rev. G. Hubert Morden, age 86, of Sandusky, formerly of Fall River, MA., passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 in Stonegate Assisted Living Facility. He was born March 1, 1927 in Saginaw, the son of the late George H. and Gertrude (Clements) Morden. He married Miss. Lois E. Utt on August 5, 1950 in Chicago, IL. Rev. Morden was a pastor in Indiana for several years, before moving to Brazil with his wife and children to become a missionary, where they stayed for 24 years. After that they moved to Fall River, MA., and became pastor of the Portuguese Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US. Army. He enjoyed studying the Gospels for Bible study, and loved his family and doing for others. He was a people person, who could call everyone by name. Rev. Morden is survived by his wife, Lois of Sandusky, one son Glyn Morden of LA., and one daughter Ms. Marilee Morden of Brazil, and several cousins. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Rev. G. Hubert Morden will be 11:00 AM., Tuesday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Homan will officiate. Burial will be in Forester Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM., Tuesday until the time of service.
