Gary Anderson

Gary Lee Anderson, age 56, of North Richland Hills, TX., formerly of Deckerville, died Saturday October 4, 2008, in his home. He was born November 6, 1951 in Deckerville, the son of the late Wilfred and Irene (Booth) Anderson. Gary was an avid Redwings fan. He was a quiet man, unless he started talking about politics, sports or religion, which lit a fire under him. He possessed wisdom beyond his years and was known to be very genuine and truthful. As a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church, he faithfully served God whom he loved with all of his heart. He prayed daily for our country. Above all, Gary cherished his family who will miss him greatly. Gary is survived by his wife, Sandra Anderson, three daughters, Kimberly Hoff, Melissa (Heath) Krogstad, and Susan (Jason) Pendergrass, one brother Bill (Ronnie) Anderson, grandchildren, Matthew Pendergrass, Emilie Pendergrass, and Luke Anderson, also several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended-family members. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Benedict, and Carol Crockett. Graveside services to celebrate the life of Gary Lee Anderson will be 11:00 AM., Friday in the Downing Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Power Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM., Thursday in the Apsey Funeral Home your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home.
