George Flanagan

George S. Flanagan, age 83, of Croswell, formerly of Deckerville, died Wednesday March 12, 2008, in McKenzie Memorial Hospital. He was born August 7, 1924 in Deckerville to the late Elmer and Mayme (Reinelt) Flanagan. He married Miss. Agnes Drabek on August 17, 1946 in Deckerville. She preceded in death on March 21, 1991. He then married Geraldine Caswell on December 29, 1995 in Deckerville. Mr. Flanagan was a life long area farmer. He enjoyed deer hunting, traveling out west and family get togethers. He is survived by his wife Geraldine Flanagan of Croswell, three sons, Larry (Yvonne) Flanagan and Russell (Diane) Flanagan all of Deckerville, Dennis Flanagan of Croswell, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard, one grandson Bryan, one sister Mrs. Gloria Medcoff, and a great granddaughter Alexandria Heft. Funeral services to celebrate the life of George S. Flanagan will be 11:00 AM., Saturday in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Rev. Robert Srock will officiate. Burial will be in the Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 PM. Thursday, 2-9 Friday. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or Deckerville School Scholarship Fund.
