Gerald E. Mosure Jr.

Gerald E. Mosure Jr., age 76, of Deckerville, passed away Friday January 24, 2020 in the Marlette Reginal Hospital Hospice. He was born October 19, 1943 in Deckerville, the son of the late Gerald Mosure Sr. who preceded him in death on January 17, 1964 and Helen V. Mosure-Elder who preceded him in death on January 23, 2020. Gerald grew up in Deckerville and graduated from Deckerville Community School in 1963. From October 1965 to September 1967 he served in the United States Army stationed in Germany. On February 10, 1968 he married Miss. Toni E. Parise. Together they raised two children Wendi and Craig. After twenty-five years he retired from General Motors. He then worked for Beck's Sod Farm and Wadsworth Farms. Gerald is survived by his wife of 51 years Toni Mosure; daughter Wendi (Kevin) Rayl of Sandusky; son Craig (Marie) Mosure of Deckerville; four grandchildren Rose Mosure, Cody Mosure, Rochele Rayl, and Courtnie Rayl; three brothers, Phil (Linda) Mosure of Deckerville, Bill (JoAnn) Mosure of Columbiaville, and Doug (Petra) Mosure of Palms,; also several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass to honor the life of Gerald E. Mosure Jr., will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday January 28, 2020 in St. Isidore Parish/St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Palms. Fr. Adam Maher will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 PM Monday and 10:00 AM-11:00 AM Tuesday at church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
