Gladys J. Baker

Gladys J. Baker, age 89, of Deckerville, formerly of Saginaw, passed away Saturday July 18, 2015 in Autumnwood of Deckerville Nursing Home. She was born December 5, 1925 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Katherine (Otto) Baker. Gladys enjoyed playing Euchre, BINGO, and "talking with the folk". She was the unofficial greeter at Autumnwood. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie J. (Bradley) Apsey of Deckerville and Shelley L. (Jerry) Plaggemars of Holland, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mae E. (Harry) Seidel of AZ, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Randall A. Golden and one brother Everett Baker, and three sisters, Audrey Stein, Katherine Tait and Eunice Murphy. Funeral services to honor the life of Gladys J. Baker will be 1:00 PM., Thursday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Slivka will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Saginaw. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM., until the time of services on Thursday.
