Gloria C. Martinez

Gloria C. Martinez, age 69, of Harbor Beach, died Tuesday August 1, 2023, in her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born December 21, 1953, in Crystal City, TX, the daughter of Francisco and Elisa (Olivase) Costillo. Gloria moved to Deckerville when she was 27 years old and was a former employee of Clements Manufacturing and TEV's bar. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by seven children: Ramiro (Kelly) Martinez of Deckerville, Juan of Applegate, Alfredo (Amy) Matinez of Marine City, Francisco (Kristy) Martinez of Carsonville, Nancy (Pat) Patten III of Port Huron, Jennifer (Mike Govea) Martinez of Deckerville, and Jason Martinez of Croswell. Eighteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and one sister, Ms. Erlinda Castillo of Deckerville. Gloria was preceded in death by two brothers, Rubin Castillo and Crispin C and Crispin Costillo and two sisters Eldemia Castillo and Rosa Castillo. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday August 19, 2023, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Deckerville Community Center.
