Grace A. Twiss

Grace Addie Twiss, 89 of Deckerville, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on March 1, 2021. Grace was born in Deckerville on April 10, 1931 to the late Ray and Mary Elva (Goodwin) Breidenbach. She married Raymond Twiss June 16, 1961. He proceeded her in death January 6, 2021. Grace was a lifelong teacher and taught at Deckerville Community Schools and in the one room schoolhouses. She was member of East Marion Baptist Church, a volunteer at the FIA and a leader in 4-H. Grace never had idle hands. She always had a project, or three, in the process whether it be a quilts, doilies, afghans, scarfs, or mittens. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Grace is survived by her daughter Shirley, sons Leigh and David, granddaughter Monet; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother, Emerson (Helen) (Gert) Breidenbach. Services for Grace will be held at the Apsey Funeral Home Monday March 8th at 11 am with visitation Sunday March 7th from 3-7. Burial will be in East Marion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Dave Frost will officiate. Memorials may be given to East Marion Baptist Church, or Heartland Hospice.
