Isabella Grace Lewis

Isabella Grace Lewis, 16, of Deckerville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Isabella was born in Flint, MI on October 1, 2009 to Dominic and Brooke Lewis. Isabella is survived by her father, Dominic (Sarah) Lewis, mother, Brooke Lewis, siblings, Brittney (Preston), Devin (Laysea), Alyssa, Jackson and A.J., grandparents, Jeff and Lucinda Twining, Richard and Kathie Spranger, Michael and Lois Huff, aunts, Mandy (Kevin) Jarrett, Monica Spranger, uncles, Daniel Lewis, Richard Spranger, Jr., Justin Spranger, cousins, Meghan, Maddie, Gunner, Sarah (Khris), Mitchell (Hannah), Maggie, Mickaela, Adrienne and Emily and many more cousins and school friends. Isabella was preceded in death by her grandfather Doran Lewis, grandmother Mimi Leann Thornton, great grand parents Harley & Evelyn Jeffryes, Robert & Margaret Horton, and her aunt Jessica Maier. Isabella was very musically talented, sang beautifully and was very creative. She attended Swartz Creek School, Deckerville High School and Sanilac Career Center. Isabella joined the band program at DHS and learned how to play the flute in just months. She found a true joy when she started the Careers in Education Program at SCC working with preschoolers. She was compassionate and loving to all animals and enjoyed playing tennis, video games, shopping, and FaceTiming and texting with friends. She loved going to the beach and eating ice cream.

Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the Peshek Family Funeral Home – Apsey Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Service on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Peshek Family Funeral Home – Apsey Chapel, 3467 Main St., Deckerville, MI 48427. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sanilac Career Center: Careers in Education and/or Deckerville Community Schools: Band Program.
