Jacob Messman

Jacob F. Messman, age 77, of Deckerville, died Friday February 8, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital. He was born September 22, 1935 in Deckerville, the son of the late Jacob and Bridget (Csizmadia) Messman. He married Miss. Jeanette Moore on June 20, 1959 in Deckerville. Mr. Messman was a member of East Marion Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was active in the Sanilac County Park Ministery Gospel Sing since 1981. He was a retired teacher, and owned and operated the Tri-City Landfill. Jacob is survived by his wife Jeanette of Deckerville, one son Phillip Messman of Owosso, and one daughter Ms. Carol Messman (Steven Rosenberg) of NY., three grandsons, Kyle, Dalton, and Austin Messman. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jacob F. Messman will be 11:00 AM., Monday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor David Frost will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.
