John David Moilanen

John David Moilanen, 58, of Richmond, left to be with the lord on Sunday, August 24, 2025. John was born on July 7, 1967, to Wayne Moilanen and Janice Schwab. John is survived by his children, with Dawn Moilanen, Matthew Moilanen and Kelly Matthes, Son-in-law Nicholas Matthes, sister Deborah (Les) Boughner, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends that may as well be family. John was a noble, respectable, and kind man that cherished nothing more than his family. Many remember John through his time at Foster Blue Water Oil or when he transitioned his career to being the CEO of Industrial Fluid Management. John also was a strong and devout catholic often seen supporting the Knights of Columbus, Columbian Squires, many ministries at St. Augustine and Holy Family, and within the community. He also enjoyed golfing and camping with his family.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 68035 Main St., Richmond, MI 48062. A small light barbeque will be held at the Moilanen house (68325 Howard St, Richmond, MI 48062) after mass for those who would like to attend. The family asks if you do attend to please bring a chair.
