Keith R. Davis, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. Born on June 16, 1950, in the close-knit community of Deckerville, Keith's life was a testament to his dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.

Keith’s journey began in Deckerville, where he was a beloved figure in the community from his earliest days. He attended Deckerville Community School, where he laid the foundations for a life of integrity and hard work. His educational experiences in his hometown remained a cherished part of his story and shaped the man he would become.

In 1969, Keith married his soulmate, Louella M. Lossing, in a beautiful ceremony in Palms, MI. Together, they embarked on a journey of love and companionship that would span nearly 56 years. Their union was blessed with two children, Christopher (Jodi) Davis and Christina Marie Davis, who in turn gave Keith the joy of becoming a grandfather to Prestin Lee Hallock and Jacob Daniel Davis, and a great-grandfather to Everlee Mae Davis. Keith's life was further enriched by the presence of his three brothers, Donald (Judy) Davis, Larry Davis, and Dennis (Jennifer) Davis, along with several nieces and nephews who will all hold his memory dear.

Keith was a man of many skills and trades. Throughout his life, he worked at Michigan Peat, Buskirk Lumber Company, Jones' Fiberglas Campers, and Tower Automotive. His strong work ethic and dedication to his various roles were evident to all who worked alongside him. Keith was not only a committed employee but also a valued member of the communities he served through these positions.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Keith had a rich life filled with activities he loved. He found solace in the simple pleasures of cutting grass, a reflection of his love for the outdoors and his meticulous nature. Hunting was not just a hobby for Keith but a tradition and a way to connect with nature. His garden was a source of pride, providing bountiful harvests that he shared with family and friends. Keith was also an avid card player, a pastime that brought laughter and joy to many gatherings. Above all, his favorite moments were those spent with his grandchildren, whose activities and accomplishments brought him immeasurable happiness.

Keith's legacy is one of love, perseverance, and kindness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Gladys (Slater) Davis, and his infant son, Kurtis James Davis and one infant brother Frankie Davis. Their memories were held close to his heart and now, Keith joins them in eternal peace.

The life of Keith R. Davis was one well-lived and well-loved. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but the imprint he left on this world will endure for generations to come. As we bid farewell to Keith, we celebrate a life that was full of purpose, joy, and an abundance of love.
