Larry A. Mcintire

Larry A. McIntire, age 71, of Snover, passed away Saturday November 24, 2018 in Covenant-Cooper Hospital, Saginaw. He was born September 13, 1947 in Deckerville, the son of the late Walter and Delores (Williamson) McIntire. Larry grew up in the Argyle area. He attended Deckerville Community Schools, graduating in the Class of 1965. He joined the US Marines after high school, and after his training served in Viet Nam where he was wounded twice and received two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the Sandusky VFW Post 2945 and Deckerville American Legion Post 516. He owned and operated McIntire Trucking for several years., enjoyed gardening, classic cars and tractors, hunting and being in and around nature. Larry is survived by two sons, Rodney (Jennifer) Brown of Snover, Daniel (Penny) McIntire of TX; one daughter Laura (Jamie) Pobanz of Pigeon; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother Dennis (Luann) McIntire of Croswell, two sisters, Carolyn Milner of Grand Rapids, and Deanna Crissman of Gladwin; several nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Wendy Harrison of Cass City; and special friend Lori Keller of Snover. He was preceded in death by one sister Lorena King. Funeral services to honor the life of Larry A. McIntire will be held at 11:00 AM., Thursday November 29, 2018 in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Argyle. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM., Wednesday and 10:00 AM., until the time of services on Thursday in the funeral Home.
