Laura Russell

Laura J. Russell, age 90, of Deckerville, died Saturday June 19, 2010 in Carol?s Adult Foster Care Home, Port Sanilac. She was born December 21, 1919 in Watertown Township, the daughter of John M. and Annie (McClintock) Marlatt. She married Eugene Russell on September 10, 1938 in Carsonville. He preceded in death on November 22, 2002. Mrs. Russell, loved her family, enjoyed walking, cooking, crocheting, and dancing. She is survived by three sons, Larry and Connie Russell of Romeo, Rodney and Raymond Russell both of Deckerville, one daughter Mrs. Robert O?Connell of Cadillac, ten grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs.Elva Louks of Port Huron, and Mrs. Bertha Allen of Fla., several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter Mrs. Loraine Nauman in 1995, three sisters, Mrs. Malvina Fairman, Mrs. Virginia McIntyre and Mrs. Clara King, and two brothers, Earl Marlatt and Miles Marlatt. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Laura J. Russell will be 11:00 AM., Wednesday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-9 Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Carol?s Adult Foster Care Home. Condolences may be sent to apseyfuneralhome.net
