Leona Mcglasson

Leona A. McGlasson, age 97, of Port Sanilac, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 23, in Autumnwood of Deckerville. She was born January 11, 1911 in Delaware Township, the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Barbknecht) Lietke. She married Andrew McGlasson on February 26, 1954 in Detroit. He preceded in death on February 7, 2002. Mrs. McGlasson worked for the Chrysler Corporation for 30 years; she enjoyed gardening, and crafts. She and her husband traveled to Europe, Africa and Asia during their 48 year marriage. She is survived by one brother, Harold Lietke of Palms, and two nieces Mrs. Julie Siens of Minden City, and Ms. Jurene Breidenbach of the Philippines, and one nephew Randy Wilke of Palms. She was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Lietke, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wilke and Helen Breidenbach. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Leona A. McGlasson will be 11:00 AM., Saturday, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Forestville. Pastor Richard Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 PM.
