Lois P. Nichol

Lois P. Nichol, age 74, of Carsonville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday June 28, 2020, in McKenzie Memorial Hospital, Sandusky. She was born April 20, 1946 in Deckerville, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Sarah (Dawson) Lake. She married Duane E. Nichol on June 20, 1964 in Deckerville. Lois was a former employee of Deckerville Die-Form, who enjoyed her family, playing cards, bowling, and genealogy. She was a graduate of Deckerville Community High School Class of 1964. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Duane E. Nichol; two daughters, Debra Sias and Pauline Nichol both of Ft. Gratiot; one son Thomas Nichol of Carsonville; two grandchildren, Christopher Fahs, and Adam Guiger; three sisters, Mary Bunyan of Sandusky, June (Charlie) Calby of KY, and Renee (Carl) Sawdon of Peck; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lois P. Nichol will be held Wednesday July 1, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Joyce Reid will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Memorials may be given to the Sanilac Humane Society.
