Lola P. Wood

Lola (Lake) P. Wood, age 67, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday April 3, 2014 in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness. She was born April 20, 1946 the daughter of the late Lawrence and Sarah (Dawson) Lake in Deckerville. She loved life and was the most loving and beautiful person. She will be greatly missed by everyone's life that she ever touched. She truly was a gift from God. Lola is survived by daughters Jodi (Brad) Hartwick, Ronda (Bob) Ferriby and Marla (Sam) Smith, grandchildren, John Hartwick, Nikole Hartwick, Kristaleigh Spencer, Ashley (Brandon) Swoffer, Brandon Grove, Destiny Grove, great grandchildren, Hailey and John Hartwick Jr., Madysun Trigger, Braedin Swoffer and Jadyn Burkhart, sisters, June (Charlie) Calby, Renee (Carl) Sawdon, twin sister Lois (Duane) Nichol, Dorothy Taylor and Mary Bunyan, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sister and brother - in-law Laura and Paul Carpenter and a baby brother. A memorial dinner to honor the life of Lola (Lake) Wood will be held Saturday April 19, 2014 from Noon to 4:00 PM., in the Deckerville Community Center. Cremation has taken place.
