Margaret Fierke

Margaret M. Fierke, age 95, of Palms went home to with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday July 14, 2011 in her home. She was born July 10, 1916 in Bay City, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Maibach) Wieland. She married Herbert A. Fierke on April 10, 1948 in Bay City. He preceded in death on May 19, 1979. Mrs. Fierke was a former employee of Deckerville Die Form. She was a member of the Deckerville United Methodist Church and Farm Bureau. She enjoyed her family and raising roses in her garden. She is survived by two sons, Andrew (Terri) Fierke of Palms, Herbert (Susan) Fierke of Muskegon, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Ms. Laura Wieland and Mrs. Edith Meier both of Bay City, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Floyd, Clem, Howard, Guy and Eugene Wieland, and five sisters, Helen Wieland, Mildred Wieland , Marie Waibel, Alice Wieland, and Grace Ferguson. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Margaret M. Fierke will be Sunday at 1:00 PM., in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Monique Carpenter will officiate, Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-9:00 PM., on Saturday and 11:00 AM., until the time of services on Sunday. Memorials may be given to Hartland Hospice.
