Marie H. Jones

Marie H. Jones, age 97, of Deckerville, passed away Tuesday November 1, 2016 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. She was born October 3, 1919 in Minden City the daughter of the late Charles and Amelia (Warczinsky) Deike. Marie married Frederick Jones on October 7, 1927 in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1997. Marie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Palms. She was an active member of the Ladies Aid Group. Marie and her sisters will always be remembered for the church dinners for funerals and fund raisers that they worked on at St. John. Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Kaake of Howell, Mrs. Donna Linehan of KY., three daughters-in-law Mary Lou Jones of Deckerville, JoAnn Hall of Croswell, and Virginia Jones of MA., Seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by three sons, Ronald, Allen and Kenneth Jones, and seven sisters and three brothers. Funeral services to honor the life of Marie H. Jones will be 11:00 AM., Friday in St. John Lutheran Church, Palms. Pastor Henry Hales will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM., until the time of services at the church. Memorials may be given to the St. John Lutheran Church.
