Marion I. Mcfarlane

Marion I. McFarlane, age 92, of McGregor, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 in her home under hospice care. She was born September 2, 1926, the daughter of the late Frank and Lulu (Buffie) Stanton. Marion grew up in the Elmer area and attended Elmer Country School. She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1945. On June 14, 1957 she married Ralph McFarlane in the McGregor RLDS Church. He preceded in death on December 1, 1991. Marion worked for Clements Manufacturing for twenty years. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of animals. She was a former member of the McGregor RLDS Church until it's closing. She is survived by four sons; Terry (Hailing) Sontag of Atlanta, GA., Orie (Jean) Sontag of McGregor, Tom Sontag of Lansing, and Phillip (Tami) McFarlane of McGregor; three daughters, Linda (Jim) Ferguson of Deckerville, Debbie (John) Willing of Deckerville and Nancy McFarlane of McGregor; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Stanton and Harry Stanton, and three sisters Leona Kelly, Beatrice Carney and Ruth Stanton. Funeral services to honor the life of Marion I. McFarlane will be at 11:00 AM., Tuesday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Srock will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.
