Martha Deike

Martha A. Deike, age 95, of Deckerville, died Friday January 16, 2009 in her home. She was born January 21, 1913 in Delaware Township, the daughter of the late Edward and Adeline (Brandt) Warczinsky. She married Charles L. Deike Sr. on March 23, 1935 in Covington, KY. He preceded in death on December 7, 2000. She was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church, Palms, a member of the Ladies Aid and Alter Guild. Mrs. Deike is survived by one son Charles (Cheryl) Deike of Vassar, two daughters, Miss. Marjorie Deike and Miss. Doris Deike both of Cass City, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Aileen Deike of Deckerville, six grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Eugene on December 16, 1994, and one brother Carl Warczinsky, and one sister Mrs. Dorothy Schults. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Martha A. Deike will be 11:00 AM., Monday January 19, 2009 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Palms, Pastor Henry Hales will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM., until the time of services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or Hartland Hospice.
