Mary E. Perry

Mary E. Perry, age 64 of Deckerville, passed away on Wednesday August 1, 2018 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was born November 11, 1953 in Peck, the daughter of the late Alex and Demetria Garcia. She grew up in Deckerville and graduated from Deckerville Community School in 1972. She married Daniel Perry on September 10, 1980. Mary was employed at the Pine House Group Home in Deckerville for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading the Bible, loved nature and was a caregiver to others. Mary is survived by her husband Daniel Perry; two sons, Michael Bowers, and Thomas Perry both of Deckerville; two daughters Angela Stockwell of Milford, and Rebekah Perry of Deckerville; eight grandchildren and one on the way; one sister Sylvia (Carl) Beardsley of Interlochen; one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by one son Johnny Bowers and one brother Charles Garcia. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mary E. Perry will be Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Hollenbeck will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM on Monday and 10:00 AM until the time if service on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to the family.
