Mary L. Thompson

Mary L. Thompson, age 79, of Deckerville, passed away Friday February 12, 2016 in her home. She was born July 5, 1936 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Russell and Eleanor (Roberts) Kindermann. Mary graduated from Handy high school. She received her Registered Nursing degree from Grand Rapids Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She later received a Master's Degree from the University of Detroit. She spent most of her working career working at Holy Cross Hospital in Detroit. She enjoyed gardening, she was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles. Ms. Thompson is survived by one son Eldon Thompson Jr of Rochester, three daughters, Ms. Rita Rice of MD, Ms. Pamela Johnson of CA, and Ms. Barbara Robinson of Macomb Township, four grandchildren, one sister Carol Lyon MD of Okemos, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother Joseph C. Kindermann and one sister Connie Kindermann. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held later in the spring.
